The process of designing and selecting a headstone for a loved one is emotionally taxing and deeply personal. There isn’t a “how-to” manual for the numerous arrangements that follow after someone passes away. The first thing that set Laredo Monuments apart from other monument businesses was their website. It allowed me to explore and visualize the headstone I would select for my dearly departed. However, it’s not as simple as just picking out a stone—that’s only step one. Step two is the design process. The professionals at Laredo Monuments displayed a great amount of compassion and patience as my family and I requested several variations of lettering and formatting. We also asked for the stone to be ready by a specific date—and they made it happen. During the process, I learned through Laredo Monuments that I needed size allowance information from the cemetery. Again, there’s no “how-to.” The professionals there were knowledgeable about the process and provided the information I needed openly and clearly. The next part of the experience truly revealed who they are as people and as a team. Staying true to their word, Laredo Monuments had the stone completed on time; however, the cemetery had not yet laid the concrete foundation. Once again, Laredo Monuments showed patience, professionalism, and understanding. They held the stone for three weeks and even attempted to place it two more times after the cemetery miscommunicated that the foundation was ready. Finally, today, they placed it. Every email exchange throughout the process was formal, kind, and gracious. I couldn’t be more grateful to them for the important work they do. I wholeheartedly recommend Laredo Monuments.
