Caballero Rivero Hialeah

We are very disappointed in the establishment in Hialeah & the inefficient & unaccommodating funeral director. There was no sense of urgency, compassion, attention to detail, lack of empathy and professionalism for a family in grieving. It began by the funeral director indicating that we were not able to do anything because we had to go to the cemetery in the SW to sign paperwork to open my brothers grave. Then he idicated that he left a message to the church & the office of the cemetery. Since he had no sense of urgency we had to do the footwork for him. With today's technology I did not see any reason for us to go to the cemetery to sign paperwork when it could have been done electronically & saved us hours of frustration. Since we had pre-planned the funeral the company that we bought the coffin went out of business. He showed us a coffin that cost less then what we paid. He said that there wasn't anything he could do & we had to address that with the office of the cemetery. Therefore he was unable to help us with the paperwork for the opening of the grave, the coffin, the prayer cards and the church. As if that wasn't enough my brother obituary was posted with incorrect information. I had to call the day of the viewing to have the information corrected. The day of the funeral there wasn't any communication from the funeral director. Finally when we went to pick up the death certificates once again the information was incorrect. Needless to say since there wasn't anyone in the office that was able to help us we had to return the next day to sign an addendum for a mistake that they made. Now we have to wait 6 weeks for the corrected death certificates. I worked in a position that dealt with all kind of people everyday and quite frankly this was totally unacceptable.

During one of the most difficult times in our lives, the staff at the funeral home treated my mother and me with genuine compassion, kindness, and respect. From the moment we walked through the door, everyone was attentive and sympathetic to our needs. They took the time to explain every detail of the arrangement process and carefully reviewed all of our options without any pressure. We never felt rushed, and at no point did anyone try to persuade us to purchase services or make decisions we were not comfortable with. Their professionalism, patience, and understanding made a very difficult experience much easier to navigate. We are truly grateful for the care and support they provided while helping us honor my father’s memory. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking compassionate and professional funeral services.

We were very pleased with the service from the young lady that began all of our arrangements to driver everyone was very sympathetic to our situation and treated us so very respectful. We thought we would need to do a closed casket because certain situations with our family member but they did such a wonderful job on them. I can’t complement enough! Thank you all so much in a moment that is difficult you all made it very easy and comfortable.

Prior to my uncle's passing, our family contacted Caballero Rivero to inquire about cremation prices. The gentleman that helped us, Jose, was wonderful. He worked with our budget and was very accommodating considering my aunt could not leave my uncle's side because he would soon pass. Jose drove to my aunt's house and walked her through the paperwork and the process of what to do when my uncle passed. Their prices were very reasonable and once my uncle passed, they took care of everything. It was about 2 weeks when my aunt received the ashes. Everything was done gracefully and with respect.

I would give ten stars if I could! Every single interaction, every step of the way, was professional and compassionate. My mother passed away with Hospice at home so we had to call them during off hours. The 24 hour call service was professional and so helpful. The pick up process was was respectful and peaceful. We were then contacted by the office and the funeral arrangements began. We worked with Cynthia and she was a blessing! They handled everything and if we had any questions we had an answer right away! The visitation was absolutely lovely. Transportation and logistics for the services and burial were perfect! Every single person we interacted with was wonderful! Thank you for making a difficult week so much easier!
