I moved a family member a year ago from her home in Missouri to Heritage at Irene Woods, a Senior Living Community in Collierville, TN. This 5 star rating deserves to be a 10 as this is an exceptional place to live. Every employee from the first day greeted us with genuine kindness, sincerity, and respect, and that has never changed.
Heritage provides a wide variety of weekly activities and many opportunities to visit museums, enjoy ball games, flower gardens, and restaurants. Personal needs are met such as being able to go shopping and take care of banking needs.
The employees and residences quickly become friends and family. On any day you can walk in the lobby and hear friends chatting and making plans. Inclusion is a big part of this family.
The in house restaurant is top notch providing a wide variety of tasty and healthy cuisine. They have the best desserts! On the first day my sister-in-law balked upon entering the doors at Heritage, which was expected. It was the fine dining experience that immediately eased her tension, and she has been happy there ever since.
There is satisfaction knowing one can go from Independent Living, to Assisted, then on to Memory Care if needed. This is truly a special place as the employees make it happen.
Again, this five star rating should be a 10.

We recently toured the Heritage at Irene Woods in Memphis, Tennessee as a part of our search for future accommodations that involved both assisted living and memory care provisions. In so doing, we primarily focused upon the state of the facilities and the institution’s activity programs that are available to persons residing in these two areas.
Consequently, we were pleased with choice and condition of the residents’ quarters, the one and two bedroom units for assisted living and the studio and the semi-private, one bedroom units for memory care. Most cases seemed reasonable and efficient in their architectural layout except that closet space in the memory care units was rather minimal. We were also impressed with variety of spaces provided for individual and communal use in the assisted living quarters, the dining and bistro areas, theater, library, game room, gym, etc.
We were most impressed, however, with the activities programs for both assisted living, and in particular, memory care. A wide range of possible choices were available and several group events were scheduled for each day. The memory care unit’s events appeared to be well organized and quite active, as well as, consistently therapeutic for the residents’ needs.
Another impressive situation that we witnessed was the relationship between the residents and various staff members that we observed. The staff was well informed and welcoming to everyone involved and the residents appeared to reciprocate correspondingly. We were hosted on our tour by Ms. Shannan Rhodes, the Director of Marketing and Sales, and while she was more likely involved in external matters related to the facility rather than internal ones, she knew the name of every resident that we encountered and had some personal item to share in her brief conversations with them.
As a result, this experience visiting the Heritage at Irene Woods has produced a highly favorable impression with us and will most likely influence us to make a deposit to secure a place for us in our near future.

My 95 year old Mom has lived at Heritage on the Independent side for over 6 years. We absolutely love it! I have asked her to move in with me, but she would not dare leave Heritage. She has so many friends there and they are her family as well! The Administration and staff are amazing. They love and care for these residents like family. She is so blessed to have so many people care for her. The actual place is so clean and nice. Your loved one will be in the best place!

My mother moved to Heritage at Irene Woods in August of last year and she loves it there. After searching for a year, my mother chose Heritage. She said it felt most like home! The staff is very attentive. She loves the food and the dining room staff. They have lots of activities and outings for the residents to participate in. They have staff that takes them to appointments and staff that host activities. Heritage also host events for the residents and their families. My family has attended several of them and had a blast. If you or your loved one is looking for independent, assisted or memory care, please consider Heritage at Irene Woods.

Our time at Heritage independent living was brief as my mother passed away unexpectedly five months after she arrived. However, she absolutely loved her time there. The staff was always warm and helpful and she made some really good friends with other residents. She loved the activities and little trips to stores and restaurants as well as the in-house programs and activities.
Most of the places we looked at seemed rather dark and "tired" but Heritage was bright and fresh and did not have an "old folks home" feel to it. Though mom was 90, she was spry and active and loved life. Heritage was perfect for her.
