Highly Recommended!!! American Cremation and Funeral Services (ACFS) did an excellent job with my Father's homegoing service. The staff was so helpful and polite. Keosha, went the extra mile in helping to ensure the Ceremony went flawless. Mr. Royster, did a fantastic job preparing the body. Top to bottom, A+ service. If you have the unfortunate responsibility of having to prepare a homegoing service, don't take my word for it, give them a call. You will see exactly what I mean from the very first conversation.

My experience with this facility has been great. They are very precaution very precise understanding and caring and now sometime everybody has their days where they may not essentially mean any harm and laugh is good for the soul but we must be careful about what we’re saying and joking about when you have clients in the building thank you all for your marvelous service🙏🏾

I was present four times over the years when American Cremation and Funeral Service (Harry Royster, Owner/ Durham NC) assisted family and friends after their loved ones' in-home deaths. Because of these experiences, it was a comfort to know that my mother would be in their care when her time came. Harry Royster, Owner, and his staff were kind, compassionate and professional when she died at my home in August. My mother was cremated and Mr Royster went the extra mile to ensure that we had her ashes in time for her memorial service in Syracuse NY. The ashes were placed in an attractive secure container and Mr Royster provided a cremation certificate for transporting them across state lines. My mother's death certificates were made available in a timely manner. The total cost was very reasonable and no upcharges/additional services were pushed. I completed the required paperwork prior to my mother's death, which made the entire process seamless and less stressful. I would recommend American Cremation and Funeral Services without hesitation.

American Cremation did an amazing job with my son's funeral service. Everyone was so helpful and guided me with everything that I needed to do. I was very happy with everything that they did and truly appreciated Harry and his staff being understanding and having a listening ear. This is a really nice funeral home. The staff at American Cremation were wonderful during a most difficult time. They were very accommodating and professional with us. We chose a traditional funeral for our loved one and used their chapel for the service. Most important, they did not "nickel and dime" us like other mortuary's I have used in Durham. Every thing we asked for was provided in a timely manner. The entire service was very beautiful. They are very affordable and I plan to use them for "pre planning" for myself. The memory blanket was a very nice touch. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
