During the difficult time of laying my bonus-grandmother to rest, the funeral director and staff were exceptional. Ahna Harris, the funeral director in charge was patient with my family, listened carefully to all of our requests, and showed genuine compassion and sympathy throughout the entire process. The staff provided excellent customer service and made sure every detail was handled exactly as we requested. They followed all directions with care and professionalism, which gave our family comfort during such a difficult time. We are truly grateful for the kindness, respect, and support they showed us, and we highly recommend their services.

Losing our 14‑year‑old son has been an unimaginable tragedy, and walking through this grief has been the hardest experience of our lives. In the middle of that pain, Ahna and the entire team at Sunset Memory Gardens became a source of comfort, steadiness, and genuine compassion.
They honored our son beautifully. Every detail — every moment, every transition, every part of the service — was handled with such care that it allowed us to focus on our family and our grief instead of the overwhelming logistics that come with planning a funeral. They thought of things we never could have in this state of heartbreak, and they carried so much of the weight for us.
Ahna guided us through each phase with patience, kindness, and respect. Sunset Memory Gardens made sure our son’s memory was honored in a way that truly reflected his life and the love we have for him. Their support made an unbearable time just a little more bearable, and for that, we are truly thankful.
Our family will never forget how they stood with us during the darkest moment of our lives.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Sunset Funeral Home, especially with Chrissy Pesonen. Over the past three years, Chrissy has been an absolute blessing to my family and me. From the very beginning, she has treated us with genuine kindness, compassion, and respect—truly making us feel like family during some of life’s most difficult moments.
What sets Chrissy apart is her sincere approach. She never applies pressure and always takes the time to understand our needs, both for current arrangements and future planning. Her guidance is thoughtful, patient, and always centered on what is best for the family.
Chrissy is also incredibly responsive and dependable. Whether it’s a phone call or a text message, she is always there when you need her. That level of care and accessibility brings a great sense of comfort and peace of mind.
More than anything, Chrissy doesn’t just provide a service—she brings a compassionate heart into every interaction. In moments when it matters most, she goes above and beyond.
I highly recommend Sunset Funeral Home, and I am especially grateful for Chrissy Pesonen. She is truly one of a kind.

The best service, care, experience, and support I could ask for when having to make arrangements and go through this heartbreaking time to say goodbye to my husband. Lupe, Carlos, and Anthony truly helped make this process smooth, they payed close attention to every question, concern, and desire. They were so patient, understanding, sensitive, organized, and sympathetic. The chapel setup to view my husband was beautiful and private. They took very good care of my husband’s body and was so beautiful and peaceful. They helped me with his finger print and remains for jewelry. The memorial garden where we did the inurnment was also peaceful, beautiful, clean, and well done. The staff on site were so respectful, patient, and careful with the stone enclosure. They were greatly accommodating and helped me through every step of this experience for my husband. I would recommend them for your loved one.
Thank you Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Sincerely,

I contracted Sunset Memory Gardens for my brother's funeral and burial arrangements after he passed away on April 9th. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. The funeral home was uncooperative regarding the use of my brother's life insurance to cover expenses. They claimed they couldn't process the payment until they received the death certificate, but when I contacted the insurance company, I learned that the issue was with Sunset Memory Gardens not communicating properly with them.
Instead of facilitating the process, they suggested we take out a loan from a third-party company, which would incur an additional $500 charge. This was incredibly stressful for our family, especially since we were already dealing with grief and anxiety. The viewing and burial were postponed to April 25, causing even more heartache. It became clear that this funeral home was understaffed and more interested in collecting money than providing compassionate care to grieving families.
Additionally, they were aware that my brother weighed almost 500 pounds and required an oversized casket, yet they failed to accommodate this need appropriately. I cannot recommend Sunset Memory Gardens based on our experience. They did not fulfill their obligations and added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time.
During the cemetery service they were rushing to get him in the ground and also did not offer any water or enough chairs the water was inside of a broken cooler with melted ice! Overall the disrespect from the staff and organization is horrible! Run away go with a family owned business not a corporation whom staffs heartless souls!
