We recently lost our mom and we reached out to Miller Funeral Home to handle her funeral and burial arrangements. Miller Funeral Home handled our dad’s funeral needs 27 years ago and did such a wonderful job that we knew we wanted them to help with our mom. Funeral Director Theresa was wonderful to work with and she handled our needs with professionalism and always with a smile. Also, special thanks to Jamie, Korra, Matthew and Karl for helping helping our family during such a difficult time. I highly recommend Miller Funeral Home to help other families with the same needs.

I don't even know where to begin - I have so many wonderful things to say about Miller Funeral Home and about our spectacular Funeral Director, Karl Koball. They handled the care of my miscarried baby boy and his burial service so perfectly. We initially decided to hire Miller Funeral Home because they were the first funeral home to respond to our inquiry with actual substance and sympathy and not just an auto response email. We were eager to get things moving and walked into the downtown location where we met Karl Koball. We had just found out two days prior that we lost our baby boy - and man, I was in the trenches of painful grief. But Karl was so sympathetic, kind, and adaptable that I felt so much comfort just by speaking with him. He laid out all of our options for everything - which cemetery, which casket, which grave marker, etc. - and was so informative on everything he laid out. The burial planning process was an absolute breeze thanks to Karl. Once Miller Funeral Home received our baby's remains, we were eager to go "visit" him. I was expecting to be placed in a conference room of some sort where they'd just bring the baby remains to us in a container. I was so surprised and literally fell to my knees with gratitude when we showed up for the visitation and they had an entire visitation room set up for us - just like a "normal" visitation for an adult. They had candles lit and had our baby sitting in his container wrapped in a beautiful, little blanket. Again, literally on my knees sobbing. This was exactly what I needed during this horrible, painful time. They were patient and gave me all the time I needed. Lastly, the burial service was perfect. They had a beautiful, red table all set up at the grave site where we placed our baby boy during the service, and Karl was there, full of hugs and sympathy. Everyone we talked to at this location was so kind and Karl was absolutely amazing. Karl would ask me how I was holding up throughout this process - and he genuinely cared! I told Karl that I hope we don't have to work with him again in a very long time - but if we need a funeral director again in Sioux Falls in the future, he'll be the first one we'll call. Thank you so much Karl and the rest of Miller Funeral Home for making this painful time a little less painful.

From the very first interaction, Mitch and the entire team at Miller Funeral Home showed nothing but professionalism, compassion, and genuine care. During one of the most difficult times in our lives, they guided us with grace, patience, and respect every step of the way. Mitch took the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and make sure no detail was overlooked. We never felt rushed or overwhelmed. Instead, we felt supported and truly cared for. The entire team handled everything with dignity and kindness, allowing our family to focus on honoring our loved one and being present with each other. We are deeply grateful for their compassion, professionalism, and steady presence. Their kindness made an incredibly hard time feel just a little lighter, and that is something we will never forget. Thank you, Mitch and the Miller Funeral Home team, for going above and beyond in every way.
