My husband and I found Rita during one of the most difficult seasons of our marriage. A time when many people would have assumed there was no way forward. Not only did she help us recover, but she helped us build a stronger, healthier relationship than we ever thought possible. The work and exercises Rita provides go far beyond simply talking through problems. She helps you build a real foundation for healing, recovery, and lasting change. The tools she teaches are practical, effective, and something we continue to use in our daily lives. Rita is caring, compassionate, and incredibly skilled. She has a way of making you feel comfortable and understood, like talking with a trusted friend who genuinely wants the best for you. We can never fully express how grateful we are for the impact she has had on our marriage and our lives. And as an added bonus, her husband Mark is wonderful as well. Together, they create an environment that feels supportive, welcoming, and truly dedicated to helping people grow. We cannot recommend Rita highly enough.

My wife and I started seeing Rita about a month ago and things are noticeably better. I think the hardest thing is making the first and deciding to schedule. I’ve never been to therapy and worried that it was going to be confrontational but Rita made us feel very welcome and has such great energy. We worked a lot on ourselves and if I could describe in one word I would say I feel awakened.

I’ve done therapy before, and honestly, I always dreaded going. I felt like I was talking about the same things over and over without actually getting tools to help me overcome them. Working with my therapist Rita now has been a completely different experience. I’ve only been seeing Rita Anderson at New Beginnings Counseling Center for a couple of weeks (this was my third session), but the impact has already been very positive. My wife and I attended our first session together, and since then I’ve also had individual sessions. Rita is incredibly kind, welcoming, and easy to talk to. She creates an environment where you feel comfortable opening up, and she provides practical tools that you can actually use in everyday life. One thing I really appreciate is that she gives us “homework” to work on between sessions, which has helped us continue improving our communication and growth at home.
