Wellington Woods Memory Care

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Choosing memory care for a spouse or parent is one of the hardest decisions a family can make. We used AI to help us rank, research, and narrow down options in the Chenal area — then we toured several places in person. Wellington Woods stood out immediately, and nothing we toured compared. The building feels bright, modern, and genuinely home-like — not institutional. There are large windows everywhere, an open kitchen, beautiful modern artwork, and multiple community spaces that feel welcoming. The outdoor space is also a huge plus: a safe, secure yard where residents can actually enjoy being outside. What mattered most to us, though, was the people. We met the leadership team (including an owner) and got a long, thorough tour where every question was answered clearly and respectfully. We saw staff interacting naturally with residents — not “tour mode,” but real engagement. The nurse and director seemed truly involved and present. The place feels well-run, calm, and intentional. We’ve also met other families there who have been friendly and supportive, which matters more than you realize until you’re going through it. The daily activities and events are consistent and purposeful — they keep residents engaged, social, and mentally active in ways that feel appropriate for memory care. If you’re searching for memory care, my advice is: don’t just compare websites — tour in person and watch how staff treat residents when they don’t think you’re watching. Wellington Woods is the first place we visited where we felt confident our loved one would be safe, cared for, and treated with dignity. It should be on your tour list.

My dad lived in this facility for two years. Wellington Woods Memory Care is a wonderful facility. It provided a refuge for our family when we were at a loss for where to put my dad. The staff and director treat everyone like family, and they offer a wide range of engaging activities for the residents. The building is brand new and beautiful, and the rooms are spacious. We were able to move in all of dad's furniture so it felt just like being at home.

My husband has received care from Wellington Woods for four and a half months. The staff, especially Matt, Elise and Marta provide excellent care and support. WW is like a family where staff, patients and family members of the patients are made to feel important and valuable in the care of loved ones. WW provides activities that generate wholesome interactions and enjoyment often resulting in laughter and feelings of togetherness. Personal medical care is twenty four hours; physical therapy is available for patients who need it; activities are provided to stimulate physical and mental abilities of patients and outdoor activities are comfortable and relaxing. The food is balanced with three full meals a day and three snacks in between meals. Grooming and daily living skills are provided to each individual’s need. Visitors are encouraged and made to feel welcome. All patient rooms are furnished with furniture and televisions yet families may add personal furniture, wall hangings, etc. My family and I are very fortunate to have chosen Wellington Woods where patients are made to feel loved and are treated like family.

Over the past two years, my mother has been a resident of Wellington Woods. She was one of the first people to move into the new facility after it opened in 2023. We could not be more pleased with the loving care she has received since she left her lifelong family home to move into Wellington. Change is always hard on senior family members, but Matt Manning (the administrator) and his amazing staff were always there to help and encourage my mom and our family on her life journey. The commitment to personal care and the regular fun group activities (organized by Marta), ensured my mother always felt comfortable and among friends. The warm homelike facilities, including the large back yard with a covered back porch and rocking chairs (my mom’s favorite place), the wonderful food (Tia, the chef, is a wonder), and the other residents and their families make Wellington Woods a great place for family members needing assistance with memory care.

My husband and I felt we were in a desperate situation when we found Wellington Woods Memory Care. We were greeted as if we were old friends and felt the love. We knew immediately this was the place for Mom, and Wellington Woods has surpassed our expectations. These are the most caring and loving people we have seen anywhere. My Mom has been in a facility from independent living to Assisted Living to Rehab and to the nursing home. She has generally always received good care but at Wellington Woods she is treated and cared for like family. We love the smaller resident population and incredible personal attention and care. They put forth every effort to include all residents in the many activities they have daily as well as activities on a personal level. Everyday at Wellington is about the residents. They are loved and entertained in a beautiful and comfortable environment and are fed delicious home cooked meals by Mrs.Tia in a very nice dining room setting. There is so much more to be said, but the bottom line is Wellington Woods would be our first choice again and again. Thank you Matt, Elise, Marta, Tia and all the staff for loving our Mom.
