Day-of Staff: 5 stars. Susan: 2-stars. Do not hire for a wedding. The day-of staff was very good, especially the bartender—everyone loved him! The catering staff were friendly and professional, but not super knowledgable about the food. When asked to confirm if certain foods were gluten or allergen free, they didn’t seem to know the ingredients. The coordinator, Susan, seemed accommodating at first but quickly proved to be unprofessional and disorganized. Her emails were short and terse, she frequently failed to reply to important questions, missed key details, and overstepped in so many ways. We were originally quoted a very reasonable price for food and bar, and then she added over $1000 of rentals onto our rental order with a different vendor without our knowledge or permission. When we said she should coordinate with our wedding planner, she said “I am your wedding planner.” (No, she was not). Our edits to the menu were met with annoyance and frequently ignored, even though we told Susan up front that my husband has anaphylactic food allergies and we would likely need to substitute ingredients—something she said she was happy to accommodate until she actually had to do it. (In response to the allergy list, Susan replied “How do you even go anywhere to eat?”). She sent me multiple urgent sounding text messages about logistics on the morning of the wedding, instead of coordinating with our wedding planner. Catering by Dale did an amazing job on our tapas menu for our wedding. The guests loved the food. It was 100% gluten free and absolutely delicious. Working with Susan and her team was easy and enjoyable. Many thanks to the Chef for all of his hard work and expertise.

Catering by Dale just catered our Annual Faculty Retreat. Susan and her staff were fantastic to work with. We had a variety of sandwiches. salads/bowls, brownies and cookies, and they even provided huge mason jars of fresh lemonade and iced tea. Everything were delicious. Their homemade breads are amazing! Susan was a pleasure, extremely helpful and very responsive. She and her staff even managed to provide extra sandwiches at the last minute to accommodate our additional faculty members that came. Thank you, Susan!

I recently had CBD cater my military retirement event. Susan was spectacular, and so was the food/service. A good measure of the quality of a business is responsiveness. Susan was always highly communicative, and right-sized her services to my needs/budget. The shrimp tacos, pulled pork sandwiches and salad sides were a huge hit. So delicious. And, I needed a couple employees to help for the evening. She provided, and they were superb. I highly recommend CBD!
