Gateway Vista

Very cheerful and helpful staff. It’s welcoming and the hidden treasure of Lincoln. I have a medical background, have had multiple friends that have lived here, along with myself, and love living at Gateway Vista!

I waited two months after my mother’s passing to write this review. I found the nursing staff to be wonderful. However, my mother was transported to the hospital on three different occasions due to injury and not one time did they contact me. I have over 30 emails, voicemails and text messages concerning my mother when she forgot to or couldn’t figure out how to electronically pay for her room. Upon her admittance i had a reclining chair to her room. While her room had a recliner it was not the new one i shipped. Finally, her deposit was returned to me two months after her passing with the check being made out to my deceased. I was informed that policy forbids them from returning the deposit in my name, and as a result to her bank account being closed gateway has kept the deposit. While this is not about the money it reaffirms the continued pattern that Gateways commitment and attention is solely from a financial Perspective. Their attention and communication os focused solely on payment

My wife needed respite care support while recovering from a broken leg. We found Gateway staff to be kind, attentive, and encouraging while providing the support and assistance needed during her recovery. Staff worked to insure all her needs were met during her recovery both in her assisted living apartment and in her therapy. The OT and PT staff expertly created an effective plan and with their dedicated support helped her build back her strength, flexibility, and stamina. Their dedication and care plan were critical in my wife being able to return to our home.

From start to finish, my experience with Gateway Vista Assisted Living has been only positive. I researched many places in Lincoln for my mom to live, and Gateway Vista checked all the boxes. Mom was in Gateway Vista Rehab twice in the past year and had good experiences both times. Bobby Hall has been professional yet personable with the many questions I have had, which made planning the logistics for this major life move so much easier. Since moving in, my mom is so happy with her apartment, the staff, the meals, being cared for, and feeling safe. She has felt welcomed since day one, and we couldn't ask for more than that!

Gateway Vista had an Easter egg hunt for the kids of residents and employees on Good Friday. The event was well organized, and the kids were separated by age groups, allowing kids to find eggs with similar aged kids. Beautiful day for an Easter egg hunt, and the residents enjoyed watching the kids find eggs.
