They kept trying to get me to take a personal test and then went on about a guy called xenu or something, it was all weird! Then some homeless guy started talking about how L Ron Hubbard had lots of child wives, it was a crazy experience would not recommend.

This is not a biased review. I have been with other disaster relief organizations and I have to state this about the Volunteer Ministers. Unlike any other non-profit organization that does disaster relief, this organization actually has it down to a science. The Volunteer Ministers actually have it down to an exact way that they do things - it is really special to work with them. Visiting this center for me was something I don't think I'll ever forget. It was probably the best way I could see how the Volunteer Ministers are so open about what they do and how they are willing to help others. The Receptionist, Carmen, is very helpful and cheerful - she is just really nice to work with and she helped me with anything I needed. The President and the Executive Director were two very motivated individuals that knew what to do and they would just let me know what was needed and wanted and it was that simple. Personally, I have never really loved a disaster relief center quite like this one. This is unique and is definitely officially my base for anything I need to help others.

When storms have struck and skies turn gray, The Volunteer Ministers find a way. With open hearts and helping hands, They bring back hope to shattered lands. They clear the debris, they lift the weight, From homes and shops in a dire state. With no request for fee or pay, They simply show up, night or day. In hurricanes’ wake, they lead the charge, No job too small, no task too large. They offer help in countless ways, With kindness that forever stays. They come to serve, not for applause, Just driven by a heartfelt cause. So call them up, you have their phone, If you need aid, you’re not alone.

Hurricane Helene hit me and my neighbors hard. Over 2' of water in our houses. I had so many people come out and help me salvage what we could from our ruined house. I couldn't have done it without them. And I requested their help for my neighbors, and they came three times and helped various people up and down the block. When they finished a project, they'd go knocking to see who else they could help. I've never been the recipient of help like this and I'm so grateful.

Anyone can join or help this group. And they have really effective ways to help people. They have courses on how to help people with family arguments, marriage problems, organizing groups, handling a dangerous environment, and basically anything one would want to handle. In addition, they do missions from this location to natural disasters around the world, in order to help people affected by those disasters. So if you are looking to help others or learn how to help others more effectively, this is a great place to walk in. Everyone is welcome!
