Corleto-Latina Funeral Home

Sadly I have been let down by this funeral home and I had higher expectations. I had a miscarriage 10/2024 and contacted the funeral home about cremation of my baby. I was surprised that it was free of charge and understood the wait is waiting for the death certification. My baby was picked up 11/2024 for cremation where the funeral home did not inform me that the cremation was completed. I had to reach out to find out for myself. With that being said, the guy I was communicating with let me know my baby was ready for pick up to come on Monday (a week after the cremation) When I arrived at the funeral home, the guy was not there and never informed anyone that I was coming. The main guy was also aware that I wanted the ashes plated in keepsake items..I was told I had to schedule that, so again I contact the main guy I was communicating with about scheduling that and he left my message on read. - After my initial review, the owner contacted me and assured me the situation would be made right. Unfortunately, I experienced the same lack of communication and follow-through. Months would go by without any response, and I was again left to chase updates on my own. To this day, I still have not received the keepsake items that were promised. This has been an extremely disappointing and painful experience. I would not wish this level of treatment on any other family. I sincerely hope no other family has to go through an experience like this during such a vulnerable time.

I've had to use this funeral home three times now in the last decade. I've had to use them when we were prepared and, when we were not prepared with an unexpected death. Sal the funeral director is the most empathetic, compassionate man and you recieve calls of concern and willing to help even if you don't use his business. They worked on a weekend, with short notice. They gave the most, did the most and at the best price! Seriously....i did my research. From the minute we started using their services to the very end...everything was smooth, beautiful and extremely helpful. I would recommend this funeral home to anyone! Seriously... three times in a decade, I have to say I'd give them out of a 1 to 10....they get a 20 from me all day every day! Honest, compassionate care, relief for you and your family at a very hard time in life. I can't brag about them enough, people if you find yourself at a sad point of loss and don't know where to start or what to do, this funeral home is the answer! You get what you pay for 100 percent and they don't break your bank doing it! Great job guys and thank you again!!!!!

Today I was notified that there was a social media post that Corleto-Latina funeral home was closing down. I was alarmed because we have a pre paid funeral with them. My bother and I called and spoke to a receptionist who took our info/concern and said we would get a return call. Not 5 minutes later we got a call from Sal, owner son who was very concerned with the social media post. He explained how pre purchased funerals are handled legally and assured us that Corleto - Latina is in business and servicing the community. He was empathetic and understanding of our concerns and advised us they moved across the street to a new location. He put us at ease and welcomed us to see the new location across the street.

Losing anyone is hard...but an infant just takes your soul. Dawn has made this whole experience amazing. From pick up, through transition, and delivery. Her presence of peace not only in her voice but her demeanor WILL BE THE REASON I refer this funeral home to all. Sal was very honest and forg coming with the process which made it easier to bear day to day. Amazing Job and thank you again

Simply amazing people! So compassionate, helpful, and respectful. Tony and everyone else that worked with us made such a difficult time of losing a loved one much easier and smoother. You can tell they serve you from their heart and not just for the money. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Would totally recommend this funeral home to everyone I know.
