I was double charged on my initial appointment. I called the help line 3 times asking for the charge to be removed. I was told each time that they were waiting on the clinician to confirm that it was a double charge. I had to remove my card on file because the automatic payment was going to incorrectly charge me. After almost 2 full weeks of waiting, I received no updates AND they cancelled my next appointment due to my “delinquent charge”. Once again I had to call the help line. I felt as if it was my job as a client to resolve their mistakes. The inability to charge correctly and remedy the issue in a timely manner has kept me from getting the services I wanted.

I was charged for several visits without my authorization. They were supposed to be covered by insurance. They never told me it did not go through - I saw the charges three months later. They told me I had to take care of the claim with insurance since insurance denied it. My insurance said their EIN did not match. Turns out the company got a new EIN and never updated MODA. Figured this out after just 2 calls to my insurance company. Insurance paid them. They NEVER gave me my money back. Fought with my credit card company for months and they told my cc company the charges were legit.
After fighting with this company over a year with their insurance FRAUD - I went to the attorney general's office. I sent all my proof that they were committing fraud.
They took money from my insurance company and refused to refund me my $980. It took one letter from the attorney general's office with all my proof and I FINALLY got paid.
Months of work, so much stress, and took a government agency for them to do the LEGAL thing. I would NEVER recommend this company if they were the last ones on earth.

We were seen and told the cost was $175 per visit and that they accepted my insurance. We went to 5 visits and we kept asking about our bill. The therapist said they don’t deal with that part. 7 months later we are being billed finally. My insurance was billed $395 per visit when we were told it would be $175 per visit. My significant other was seeing a separate provider from the one we were also seeing together. Now that are saying that they moved her as the primary on my account and started billing her card and running it through my insurance. We have called half a dozen times and asked to speak to supervisors or managers and have heard nothing back. DO NOT USE THEM. The therapists are great, but the thriveworks group is the worst and most unprofessional group.
*Update*
I had to fight thriveworks because they were refusing to refund my girlfriend’s CC for visits billed to my account. She is not on my account in any way. They went into her account and pulled her Credit Card information and used it to run my visits that were still in review with my insurance company. After a couple months of calls, emails, and showing Alaska statutes to them, they finally refunded my girlfriend’s CCfor charges that should never have been sent to her card in a separate account. This is the same thing as you being billed for your neighbors office visit without being notified or asked. Absolutely disgusting behavior. I urge any therapists using thriveworks to route clients to your practice to change to a different structure. You will be risking Thriveworks billing and customer support ruining your reputation since they are the name on the door. If you’re looking for a provider the therapist are great people, it I would unfortunately say to go elsewhere because you will risk being charged hundreds if not thousands of dollars in fees because they will bill as in network and out of network for the same therapist. Leaving you the client with insane bills and late fees when they fail to notify you of a bill at all.

My experience with a therapist here was deeply frustrating. She invalidated my feelings, read from a script, and seemed completely uninterested in my experiences. Even after a few weeks, she couldn't remember who I was, which made me feel incredibly dismissed. She was unprofessional, interrupting me frequently and not allowing me to express myself fully. I also didn't receive the full hour of therapy I paid for, as she cut our sessions short.
Furthermore, she seemed ill-informed about mental health conditions and spent much of our time on her computer. Her constant glances at her watch during our sessions made it clear that she wasn't giving me her full attention. I felt unheard and unsupported. While I cannot recommend this therapist, I hope that others at the practice might provide a more positive experience.

My first meeting with a counselor went very well. We connected without issue, asked and answered questions, became acquainted. Since we clicked, we set up a few meeting dates. More to come. Thanks for making it so easy and stress free!
Our second meeting went very well. I have some news ways to think about responses to everyday triggers. I like the positive feedback.
